Two Indian pastors deported after found preaching in Jaffna

 


Two Indian pastors were deported back to their home counrty after being found violating visa regulations including engaged in preaching activities in Mathagal, Jaffna. 


Both of them were arrested by police based on a complaint lodged by a local group that the duo was involved in visa violations by engaging in preaching work. Following investigations, both of them were deported from Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo. 



In a separate incident, another 13 Indian nationals who were engaged in working in shops and sculpture work in local workshops were deported through Jaffna International Aiport on Saturday as well. (Northeastern Monitor/March 10/2025)
