A Jaffna based YouTube content creator was remanded till March 19 Mallakam Courts today for arbitrarily entering a woman-headed household and recording footage of individuals in the name of providing livelihood assistance.
The YouTube content creator known as SK Krishna was taken into custody along with three others yesterday in Ilavalai when the group tried to reach a settlement with the affected family.
Earlier, the content creator went inside the residence of a woman headed family at night time and forced her to appear on the video and her daughter with foul language. The family lost their breadwinner - husband during the wartime period.
When the daughter refused to appear on the video despite the requests by the Youtuber, he started to abuse her verbally with indecent language. The whole video, recorded by an individual, went viral in social media platforms last weel calling for strict action against the individual. (Northeastern Monitor/ March10/ 2025)
