TID summons school teacher over 'Eelam' decoration at sports event

 

The decoration of a school sports house meet under TID investigation. 

A school teacher attached to Kikinochchi Maha Vidyalayam has been instructed to appear before the Head Office of Terrorism Investigation Department (TID) in Colombo over decoration at the annual school sports meet event held last year. 

Innasimuththu Sathiyaseelan,the teacher who is under investigation by TID was served with a summons to appear before its HQ in Colombo tomorrow (February 17).

The summon notice indicated that investigations are over sports house meet decorations similar to separatist ‘Eelam’ design and Maveerar cemetery during the annual sports event last year. 

Earlier, the teacher and school staff were also questioned by regional TID teams as well. (Northeastern Monitor/February 16/2025)
