Senior Tamil journalist Bharathi Rajanayaham




 

Senior Tamil journalist and editor Bharathi Rajanayaham passed away at his residence in Thirunelvely, Jaffna, his family said. 

As Editor in Chief of Tamil weekly- Thinakkural (Sunday edition), he revived the local Tamil daily into a household weekend newspaper within a short period of time. 

He also worked at Jaffna based Eelanaadu newspaper after he relocated to his hometown. At the time of his death, he was heading as Northern province desk Editor of Virakesari newspaper. 

Earlier, he was admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital after a brief illness. He was discharged later. He is survived by his wife and son.
