Sri Lanka Railways resumed services in the northern line today after six months by operating Yarl Devi train.
According to SL Railways, the Yal devi train would leave from Mount Lavinia at 5.45 am and reach Kankesanthurai (KKS) at 1.00 pm while the same train would leave KKS by 10.50 am on the following day from KKS to Colombo.
The Northern railway line was renovated under the Indian credit line from Maho to Anuradhapura stretch. (Northeastern Monitor/ October 28/2024)
