At least two suspects were taken into custody by Point Pedro police over the killing of a couple in Katkovalam, Punitha Nagar of Point Pedro yesterday, police said.
Preliminary investigations by police revealed that professional jealousy might have led to the killing of three suspects. The couple were found dead in their residence yesterday. The victims were identified as M. Subramaniam (54) and his wife S. Mary Reeta (53).
Investigations further revealed that the couple recently secured the tender to clean clothes at Point Pedro Base Hospital as well.
One of the two suspects taken into custody was already on bail over the killing of another individual in the past. (Northeastern Monitor/Oct 31/2024)
