Fresh appointments of 312 graduate teachers in East

At least 312 graduate teachers to schools in Eastern province were given appointment letters by  Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman last week to resolve the shortage of teaching staff in the region, the Governor's Secretariat said.

The Governor also instructed the Secretary of the Provincial Public Service Commission to comply strictly with election laws and stressed that appointment letters were issued adhering to the Election Commission's guidelines, the office said. (Northeastern Monitor/ August 16/ 2024)
